The Manor House rests at the heart of Kent Island Resort, set on 220 acres along the Chesapeake Bay on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. GRAND SUITE
The largest accommodation in The Manor House, with a king bed, a separate living area with a pull-out sofa, a kitchenette, and the Manor’s largest private balcony. It’s the room couples book for anniversaries when they want a full weekend without leaving the property. Parents of the bride or groom take it for a wedding stay. Families settle in for a long weekend and treat the kitchenette like the home base of the trip.
The balcony is the standout. Large enough for two chairs and a small table, with the kind of view across the estate that gets photographed at golden hour. The Grand Suite is the room guests book when the occasion is the stay itself.
BRIDAL KING ROOM
The Bridal King Room is the room for the couple at the center of the weekend. Brides getting ready before a ceremony book it for the morning. Grooms slip in for a quiet drink before guests arrive. Couples on the Romance on the Shore package settle in for two nights.
It’s built for the celebration. A king bed in the main room, a separate living area with a pull-out couch, perfect for somewhere to host hair and makeup, a wedding planner, parents stopping in, or a quiet first toast before the day begins. An electric fireplace anchors the room. A shared balcony lets you step outside. The Bridal King is the room most couples remember a year later, photographs and all.
BALCONY KING
A balcony changes the stay. The Balcony King is the room for the guests who want morning coffee outside, an evening cocktail above the gardens, and the slow in-between moments that make a weekend feel longer. The footprint is similar to the Standard King — a king bed, a single room, the same understated interior, but the balcony shifts the feel of the whole stay.
It’s the upgrade most couples don’t regret on a two- or three-night visit. The shared balcony also means you’ll often share it with a neighbor for a few minutes. A small, easy kind of country-house sociability that suits the Manor.
STANDARD DOUBLE QUEEN
The Standard Double Queen is the room for groups and families. Two queen beds, room enough for four, and the flexibility that makes wedding weekends and friend trips work. Siblings book it for a parent’s anniversary. Bridesmaids share it for a Saturday night. Families on a long weekend find the second bed solves more problems than they expected.
At roughly 215 square feet, it’s the most spacious of the Manor’s two standard room types. It pairs naturally with the Bridal KingRoom when wedding parties book a block, and works just as well on its own for travelers who want a bit more space than the Standard King allows.
STANDARD KING
For a quiet weekend on the Eastern Shore, the Standard King is the room most guests find themselves coming back to. It’s the classic Manor House room — a king bed, the manor’s signature step-down bathroom, and the understated comfort that lets the rest of the estate take center stage. Couples planning a romantic getaway book it for two nights and spend most of the time on the patio at 18TWENTY, on the trails, or by the pool. Wedding guests book it for a Saturday and a Sunday and leave the rest to the day itself.
It’s the smallest footprint in the house, at roughly 193 square feet, but the windows open up a lot of the space — the view across the gardens or the grounds is the thing you’ll remember.
EVERY ROOM HAS AMENITIES
Every guestroom at The Manor House comes appointed for the way the property is meant to be experienced — quiet and slow, on your own time. Beautifully furnished, coastal-influenced interiors. Air conditioning and a private en-suite bathroom with bathrobes and complimentary toiletries. An in-room coffee and tea with complimentary Rise Up Coffee pods. Complimentary WiFi throughout the building and daily housekeeping. Room service from 18TWENTY during restaurant hours.
The Manor House does not have an elevator. Exterior ramps and stairs connect the floors, in keeping with the historic structure of the building, and the front desk team is glad to help with luggage on arrival.
HOTEL PACKAGES
Every room type is available at the standard rate or paired with one of the resort’s seasonal packages. Romance on the Shore adds a complimentary bottle of Champagne and a custom dessert display in the room on arrival. The Culinary Escape package pairs your stay with a $75 food and beverage credit at 18TWENTY. The Bed and Breakfast package adds $25 toward breakfast each morning.
Maryland residents qualify for the Chesapeake Local Luxe package at a $159 rate plus a complimentary welcome drink, valid Maryland ID required at check-in.
